Kya Williams M.S., BCBA, LBA
Founder and Owner
Kya Williams is a Board-Certified Behavioral Analyst working towards a PhD, in Human Behavior. She obtained her professional level certification in the Theory of Addiction and Compulsion Behavior from Capella University, Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis, Baccalaureate in Social Sciences, and two Associate degrees in Early Childhood Development and Administration of Justice.
With over 12 years of experience, Kya has worked with children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other related developmental delays including Attention Deficit Disorder, Substance Use Disorders, and various other mental behavioural health disorders. She has provided Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) services in homes, crisis centers, foster care homes, schools, daycares, and other community settings across the United States. She had the pleasure of working with children in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Department as well as military families across the country and overseas while stationed in Germany. Kya has supervised several Registered Behavior Technicians and professionals working towards their BCBA. In recent years, she developed a professional training, to include, but not limited to Verbal Behavior, Professional Code of Ethics, etc. while collaborating to create a 40-hr RBT training program. She also attended several conferences in support of the progression and sciences of Applied Behavior Analysis while venturing towards opening this private practice, Ready To Learn ABA, LLC.
Jakya Bridges B.A.
Jakya Bridges practiced as a Registered Behavior Technician for a year while preparing to take on her Master's Degree in Psychology with a specialization in Applied Behavior Analysis. She obtained her Baccalaureate in Sociology from Colorado State University and quickly connected with the founder to collaborate on opening this private practice, Ready to Learn ABA, LLC.
In recent years, Jakya has worked alongside elderly populations and convalescents, partnered with diverse professionals to facilitate events for the community's youth, and maintained therapeutic relationships with preschoolers in nearby counties. She has implemented Applied Behavior Analytic (ABA) strategies in homes, clinical settings, and schools across Columbus, GA and Lee County, AL. She has connected with insurance companies, managed operational software, and modified company training while negotiating her position as a novel professional.
Emily A. B.S., RBT
Emily has been working in the ABA field for a year now but has experience learning alongside children with special needs since high school. She has volunteered in elementary classrooms and assisted young learners at local sporting events. With a Psychology degree from Columbus State University, Emily is a practicing Registered Behavior Technician who plans to apply for her masters and continue on the path towards becoming a BCBA. One thing Emily appreciates about being apart of the Ready Team is our commitment to collaborate with outside providers to assist learners and their families as best as we can. In addition to surfing Pinterest for learning material inspiration, Emily enjoys relaxing on the beach or at the lake during her free time.
McKenzie H. BT
Majoring in Business Administration, McKenzie will be receiving her Bachelor’s degree in the Fall of 2020 from Columbus State University. She joined our team in October of 2019 as our administrative assistant and a behavior technician in training. During her time at Ready to Learn ABA, McKenzie has found innovative ways to incorporate her experience in fashion and marketing design in recent projects such as designing team badges, creating event flyers, and updating the Ready website. Special thanks to McKenzie for her hard work on this beautiful site! Aside from greeting new learners and their families, McKenzie enjoys shopping, taking naps with her dog, and spending time with her family.
Katelyn D. B.S., RBT
Registered Behavior Therapist
Katelyn graduated from Columbus State University in the Spring of 2019 with a degree in Psychology. She plans to apply for graduate school to become a BCBA this upcoming fall! As a new technician, one thing Katelyn appreciates about Ready To Learn is our unique social programming. She enjoys engaging in leisure activities and fun events that cultivate meaningful relationships with her learners and coworkers. Apart from learning at Ready, Katelyn spends her free time fishing with her fiancé, relaxing in the pool with family, and shopping with friends.
Teanna M. BT
Teanna is a novel Behavioral Technician on her way towards achieving her Registered Behavior Therapist certification. She is constantly seeking new opportunities for professional development, personal growth, and creative expression. Teanna believes Ready To Learn is a work home to family-oriented staff. She appreciates that Ready to Learn ABA is focused on supporting all of its stakeholders-staff, learners, and their families included! In her downtime, Teanna enjoys expressing herself through hair and makeup, home decor, and other decorative hobbies. In the future, Teanna hopes to find creative ways to incorporate her passions into Ready To Learn's social group programming.
Curtis E. B.S., BT
Curtis graduated from Columbus State University's Psychology Program in December 2019 and intends to become a practicing BCBA and licensed counselor. He assists in conducting research in a cognitive laboratory at Columbus State and works with professors in the department on various projects. He loves to read, write, and learn as much as he can about various subjects of interest, his current one being Applied Behavior Analysis. As the newest member of the team, Curtis plans to apply his passion for research to enhance the learning experience of different stakeholders, learners included, while at Ready To Learn ABA, LLC.
